White Hominy is corn that has been stripped of their bran and germ. This corn is especially popular in the south. Whole or ground hominy is boiled until it’s tender and then served as a side dish.
DIRECTIONS
3 cups water 1/2 tsp. salt 1 cup grits Bring water and salt to a boil. Add grits and reduce heat. Cook slowly for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, cover and let stand for a couple minutes. Makes 4 generous servings.
